Happy New Year, Team NBCUniversal!  

As we kick off 2026, I find myself (predictably) reflecting on my goals for the year. At its core, the Cyber Security team’s mission is straightforward: to minimize the impact of cyber threats on the business. While we’re sometimes seen as a roadblock, our true goal is to be collaborative partners—helping every business unit get the tools and services they need, securely. 

This year I’m doubling down on finding ways to say “yes”—securely. To make that happen, we’re investing in resources designed to support you: Information Security Officers aligned to each business who understand your workflows, Embedded Engineering Services that can assist in navigating project security requirements from kick off to completion, and engaging Training and Awareness Programs so everyone knows what to do and why it matters. Because here’s the truth—every one of us is part of NBCU’s Human Firewall. That’s not just a tagline; it’s a shared responsibility we track and report on for Corporate Risk Committees and the Board of Directors, which underscores just how critical your role is. 

This letter marks the first in a monthly Ask Me Anything (AMA) series from me to the enterprise, where we’ll keep the conversation going—your chance to submit questions, share ideas, and be part of the dialogue.
